run in your terminal
claude mcp add zenbrain-memory -- npx -y @zensation/mcp

How to start

  1. Run the command in your terminal, in the project where you want it.
  2. Sign in if asked the first time Claude connects.
  3. Check it: run /mcp in Claude Code and look for it in the list.

What it needs

  • ZENBRAIN_DBOptional. Path to the SQLite file that holds the memory. A leading ~/ means your home directory; a relative path depends on where the client starts the server (some start it in /), so give an absolute or ~/ path. Use ':memory:' for a store that is discarded when the process exits.
  • ZENBRAIN_CONTEXTSOptional. Comma-separated context domains, passed to the cross-context layer. No tool uses that layer yet, so the value currently has no effect.

Environment variables as listed in the server's MCP Registry entry.
